1. Classification by direction

3. What is the elbow radius

If the radius is larger than the pipe diameter and R ≥ 1.5 diameter, we call it the long radius elbow or LR elbow, which is applicable to high pressure and high flow pipes.
If the radius is greater than 1.5D, it will be named as a bend, and the elbow fitting usually represents such as 2d elbow, 3d elbow, etc.
