Product Description

Elbow is a kind of connecting pipe fitting commonly used in water heating installation. It connects two pipes with the same or different nominal diameters to make the pipeline turn at a certain angle. The nominal pressure is 1-1.6Mpa.

It also has other names, such as 90 ° elbow, right angle elbow, Elbow, stamping elbow, pressing elbow, machine elbow, welding elbow, etc.
Use of flange: connect two pipes with the same or different nominal diameters to make the pipeline turn 90 °, 45 °, 180 ° and various degrees.

How to distinguish elbow radius and elbow from elbow

Bending radius less than or equal to 1.5 times of pipe diameter belongs to elbow.

1.5 times larger than the pipe diameter is a bend.

Short radius elbow means that the curvature radius of the elbow is one time of the pipe diameter, also known as 1D.

304 stainless steel elbow can also be divided into equal diameter elbow and non equal diameter elbow. Equal diameter elbow is used to connect pipes with the same outer diameter and non equal diameter elbow is used to connect pipes with different outer diameters.

Manufacturing standards include: national standard, electric standard, water standard, American standard, German standard, Japanese standard, etc.

Divided by curvature radius: it can be divided into long radius elbow and short radius elbow. Long radius elbow refers to the outer diameter of the pipe whose curvature radius is equal to 1.5 times, that is, R=1.5D. Short radius elbow means that its radius of curvature is equal to the outer diameter of the pipe, that is, R=1.0D. (D is the elbow diameter, R is the radius of curvature).

According to the pressure grade, there are about 17 types, which are the same as the American pipe standards, including Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40s, STD, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80s, XS; Sch80、SCH100、Sch120、Sch140、Sch160、XXS; The most commonly used are STD and XS.

In a piping system, an elbow is a fitting that changes the direction of a run. According to the angle, there are three most commonly used types: 45 ° and 90 ° 180 °. In addition, 60 ° and other abnormal angle elbows are also included according to the needs of the project.

The materials of elbows include cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, carbon steel, nonferrous metals and plastics.
The connection methods with pipes include direct welding, flange connection, hot melt connection, electric melt connection, threaded connection and socket connection. Direct welding is the most commonly used welding method.

According to the production process, it can be divided into: welding elbow, stamping elbow, push elbow, casting elbow, butt welding elbow, etc. Other names: 90 degree elbow, right angle elbow, etc.

Technical requirements

1. As most pipe fittings are used for welding, in order to improve the welding quality, the ends are turned into grooves, with a certain angle and a certain edge. This requirement is also strict. The thickness of the edge, the angle and the deviation range are specified. The surface quality and mechanical properties are basically the same as those of pipes. For the convenience of welding, the steel grades of pipe fittings and connected pipes are the same.

2. All pipe fittings shall be subject to surface treatment. The oxide scale on the internal and external surfaces shall be shot blasted off and then coated with anti-corrosion paint. This is for export, and also for the convenience of transportation and prevention of corrosion and oxidation at home.

3. It is the requirement for packaging. For small pipe fittings, such as export, a wooden box should be made, which is about 1 cubic meter. It is stipulated that the number of elbows in this box should not exceed one ton. This standard allows a suit, that is, a large suit is small, but the total weight should generally not exceed one ton. For large piece y, single package is required. For example, 24 ″ must be packaged separately. The other is the packaging mark, which is to indicate the size, steel grade, batch number, manufacturer's trademark, etc.
