The vulcanization of KXT rubber expansion joint rubber is a kind of product that converts basically plastic raw rubber into dimensional stable product through chemical crosslinking between rubber molecules. The physical properties of vulcanized rubber are stable and the use temperature range is expanded. The vulcanization (crosslinking) reaction ability between rubber molecular chains depends on their structure. Unsaturated diene rubber (such as natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile butadiene rubber, etc.) contains unsaturated double bonds in its molecular chain, which can form intermolecular crosslinking with sulfur, phenolic resin, organic peroxide, etc. through substitution or addition reaction. Saturated rubber is generally cross-linked with free radicals with a certain amount of energy (such as organic peroxides) and high-energy radiation.
The rubber containing special functional groups (such as chlorosulfonated polyethylene, etc.) in the KXT rubber expansion joint is linked with the specific reaction of the given substance through various functional groups, for example, the sulfenamide group in the rubber is cross-linked through the reaction with metal oxides and amines. The KST-L threaded rubber joint sphere is composed of an inner rubber layer, a reinforcing layer with multiple layers of scraped nylon cord fabric, and a composite rubber tube with an outer rubber layer. The rubber materials used vary depending on the medium, including natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, chloroprene rubber, silicone rubber, fluorine rubber, and so on.
